Description and Requirements

Responsibility:

  • Provide in-depth technical support to front end support team for field issue on Lenovo server and networking products.

  • Isolate the problem to function building block via log analysis, problem replication and experiment, and then provide solution or workaround to fix the customer issues and make sure the satisfaction of the customers.

  • Escalate and follow up design issue or defect with backend support team until issue got resolved.

  • Continuous Improvement: Lead the investigation to provide a lesson learned to prevent repeat issues.

  • Critical situation management to achieve customer satisfaction, by leading or cooperating across Lenovo/IBM teams.

  • Provide business data report for management review. Visit customers or provide onsite support if needed.

  • Work at business hours, occasionally working through off-hours/weekend/holiday to support emergency case.

Requirement:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science or engineering.

  • Extensive experience in troubleshooting and root cause analysis of networking issues and network performance tuning.

  • Proficiency in the Linux system, preferably RHCE or RHCA; Cisco CCIE or CCNP certificate holders.

  • Experience in server product development is a plus.

  • Fluently English/Chinese communication skill with internal team and external teams.Ability to manage multiple/complex task under pressure.
