About the Role

In this role you will be the personification of Diageo’s ambition: to become the world's best-performing, most-trusted consumer goods company and build category-leading partnerships with industry-leading outlets. We are looking for someone with a sophisticated sense of style, who can present themselves and our products to reflect the luxury brand's image and values.

As a Sales Representative for our luxury portfolio, you:

  • Possess a strong knowledge of brand and production processes and sell the history and heritage of the luxury brands you represent.

  • Are well-connected within the German bartending and gastronomy scene, with knowledge of Whisky Specialist Store spirits industry and retail businesses, and you have a proven track record of building brands in this trend-leading space.

  • Have a high affinity for luxury brands and an in-depth understanding of the luxury consumer and how to engage with them.

  • Can establish and keep excellent relationships with key influencers in the industry and beyond, and you know the best places to go.

  • Become the first point of contact to learn more about upcoming trends or in-depth knowledge about spirits and the industry.

  • Engage with decision-makers of the On-Trade and Off-Trade network to ensure the perfect execution in our outlet universe.

Your job isn’t done until our products are visible to consumers and you engage the consumer by driving awareness and brand passion for our products. This is a commercial position by heart, and you are responsible for commercial success and inspiring customer loyalty while implementing marketing activations.

Accountabilities

  • Selling high-end products which are expensive and exclusive to a niche market.

  • Accountable for the commercial outcome for around 60-80 premium customers like Restaurants, Bars, Whisky Specialist Stores, Wholesale-, and Retail- Partners.

  • Lead Diageo distribution, activation, promotion, and innovation agenda, particularly for the Luxury portfolio in the leading outlet universe.

  • Ensure our brands are available and have the perfect visibility in back bars, menus and on shelf.

  • Negotiate and create contracts with our gastronomy partners to ensure brilliant execution.

  • Set high-quality standards to represent our brands to consumers and ensure that our customers are adopting the highest standards.

  • Develop profitable social event programs while partnering with our customers making sure these are reflected in commercial agreements.

  • You engage with high-profile customers within a niche market to ensure we create brand awareness.

  • You ensure that your work and all initiatives are tracked in our CRM tool.
