We are looking for a Management Project Manager to support our Submarine Maintenance Engineering Planning and Procurement (SUBMEPP) Activity. The manager will be responsible for three areas: Class Maintenance Plan management, Material Condition Feedback (IMAP), and Maintenance Instruction Documents (MIDs).

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.

• Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.

• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.

Minimum Qualifications

• 8 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 6 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 12 years relevant progressive experience.

• RCM level II Certification

• Extensive experience with working in the Submarine Maintenance Engineering Planning and Procurement (SUBMEPP) Activity managing Class Maintenance Plan management, Material Condition Feedback (IMAP), and Maintenance Instruction Documents (MIDs).

• Able to communicate directly and support the NAVSEA customer, Submarine Maintenance Engineering Planning and Procurement (SUBMEPP) Activity, and Newport News Shipbuilding Submarine Planning Yard PM.

Preferred Requirements

• Active Secret Security Clearance

• Experience with IR or LARS

• PMP

Physical Requirements

Job performance may require working in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
