We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic individual to develop our UK business based in Handforth Dean, Cheshire. In the role of Technical Business Development Engineer, you willparticipate in all aspects of the technical production process, from problem-solving (https://uk.indeed.com/career-advice/career-development/problem-solving-skills) and team coordination, to the implementation of technical initiatives. You will also identify new business opportunities, including new markets, new clients, new partnerships or new products and services.

As a strategic thinker with a passion for machine tool technology, you will:

  • Create strategies to successfully reach new business opportunities

  • Build relationships with new clients, gauge their needs and develop proposals to address these needs

  • Maintain and develop relationships with current clients

  • Pitch sales and products to new and existing clients

  • Attend conferences and events to build relationships with industry partners and staying up to date with new trends

  • Implement technical processes

  • Ensure quality assurance

  • Continuous technical improvement

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or similar qualification with experience.

  • Ideally some work experience with machine tools / spindles

  • A technical aptitude, good understanding of sales and technical issues, exceptional communication and interpersonal skills and be comfortable presenting to customers across contrasting functions, in different environments and at different levels.

  • Ability to work in teams in a fast-paced dynamic environment

  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to influence internal and external customers
