Your Role in Keeping the Future in Safe Hands…

As a Product Manager for the Global solutions division of ASSA ABLOY, you will have the opportunity to significantly impact the evolution of our next generation Cloud services and work with a wide range of technologies to drive innovation. You will get to work on a team that keeps growing, innovating, and giving you room to be proactive, creative and develop unique perspectives on how various services interact with each other.

Reporting to a KAM Product Manager , you will be responsible for shaping the next generation of our software platform that is at the heart of the KAM product portfolio. You will shape the vision, strategy and reality of our platform. In addition, you will work with the marketing team to create our market messaging, collateral and launch plans that clearly articulate our proposition to market.

What you will do…

  • Gain a deep understanding of our market landscape, our existing solution and our sector priorities to build a focused roadmap and long-term generation plan for the platform.

  • Focus on driving the success and growth of KAM product lines, vision, strategy, generation plans and short-term roadmap for your products.

  • Develop, maintain and share competitor and market insight that shapes your plans and decision-making.

  • Manage the profitability of your portfolio, understanding market performance and conducting regular win/loss analysis and proposing changes to pricing, positioning or business model to ensure we meet budget expectations.

  • Manage every stage of the product lifecycle, from ideation, through to business case development, launch, functional enhancements, product maintenance and even product withdrawal.

  • Act as Voice of the Customer internally, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to discover and analyse customer needs and shape these into clearly defined hardware and software requirements.

  • Manage, and work closely with, the Product Owner to ensure requirements are translated into detailed epics and user stories with clear acceptance criteria and non-functional user experience expectations.

  • Work with other Product Managers and Product Owners to prioritize the Product Backlog to ensure that all Product Backlog items are consistently scoped and sized to enable fair and timely prioritization.

  • Ensure that development plans are visible, transparent and clear to all and that roadmap plans stay current to manage stakeholder expectations.

  • Take the lead in defining Product launch responsibility, bringing the product to the market & equipping the regions to succeed.

  • Be the Subject Matter Expert for your product portfolio, acting as Voice of the Company externally, when supporting the sales channel with product expertise and guidance.

    What we expect of you…

  • 5yrs+ proven experience as a product manager working in a technology-based environment with Agile development teams and methodologies

  • Solid understanding of cloud ecosystems and technology including key offerings from major platform players such as AWS, Azure and others

  • Customer-focused with significant customer facing experience and practiced in evaluating priorities and managing stakeholder expectations

  • Skilled in asking the right questions to solicit key requirements about functional as well as non-functional aspects

  • Proven, strong balance of commercial and technical prowess with ability to assess the priority, urgency and importance of issues or challenges

  • Practical experience of identifying market requirements and building compelling business cases to support requests for future developments

  • Experience with web apps, mobile apps, and internet connected hardware devices

    Physical Requirements:

  • Normal, corrective vision range; ability to see color and to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
