DESCRIPTION OF WORK As an Automotive Mechanic for the Pennsylvania State Police, you will perform automotive mechanic work related to the specialized upfitting, new fleet processing, maintenance, and repair of vehicles to include all manufacturers.  In addition, you perform preventative maintenance on diesel trucks ranging from 7k - 26k lbs. All major repairs are discussed with the supervisor.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Free parking comes with this position. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Four years of experience in the automotive mechanic trade; or completion of an approved apprenticeship; or Any combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledges, skills, and abilities.

Special Requirements: This position requires employees to hold a current and valid Pennsylvania Class C driver's license, that is not currently under suspension, for operation of specific equipment in order to meet operational needs. This position requires employees to obtain a Class 1 Certified Inspection Mechanic Certificate within six (6) months of employment. Additional Requirements:
