The Bureau of Motor Vehicles is currently recruiting for the position of Clerical Assistant 2. In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting the division by handling the examination and data entry of documents, ensuring that customers possess valid and up-to-date insurance documents to legally operate their motor vehicles. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As part of this role, you will be in charge of reviewing and inputting financial responsibility data. This includes determining whether to suspend or reinstate records, issuing citations, renewing registrations, and managing motorist's vehicle registration records. You will also assess applications for registration plates and cards, deciding whether to accept or reject them based on the provided documentation. Additionally, you will evaluate content to assign appropriate processing or error response codes. Another responsibility is handling certified mail received by the financial responsibility section, including opening, tracking, and processing it. You will also need to make phone verifications with insurance agents and departments to gather information about customers' financial responsibility and request any necessary documentation from insurance companies. Finally, you will accurately process work based on the obtained documentation.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.   REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: * Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (commonwealth title); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
