Hershocks Inc. Door Service Technician in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
Purpose of Position: To install, service, or repair all types of door mechanisms.
Essential Duties:
- Provide proper operation instructions to customers as required.
- Installation and service of Commercial door and hardware.
- Installation and service of automatic pedestrian doors such as:
- Card Access
- Magnetic locks
- Sensors
- Installation and service of electronic door hardware and equipment including:
- Low voltage wiring
- Manage inventory inside work vehicle.
- Pull & post inventory and special order parts.
- Responsible for work vehicle.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Need to have mechanical ability.
- Must have a Valid Driver's License
- Hershocks sends employee to AAADM's certification training.

Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures (such as AAADM book), blue prints, Architectural drawings, wiring diagrams, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and standard operating procedures. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to read a tape measure.

Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screening and physical.
