The Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) is seeking a dedicated Fiscal Technician to join our Fiscal Management Division! DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Fiscal Technician, you will primarily be responsible for performing advanced tasks in bookkeeping, accounting, and fiscal administration for the Bureau of Administrative Services. This includes recording, reviewing, processing, and controlling financial records and documents. Other duties you will be responsible for include: Reviewing, preparing, and submitting accounting entries in SAP (System Applications and Products in Data Processing) Monitoring and handling default accounts for federal grants Coordinating signatures and record keeping for grant applications, awards, legal review, and closeout Working with the Bureau of Commonwealth Accounting with regard to creating internal order numbers, correcting entries, and resolving errors associated with DCNR federal grants

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Work schedule may be negotiable. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 2 days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including 1 year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices and graduation from high school; or One year as a Fiscal Assistant;or One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
