Current Opportunities
Construction Services
Internship Highlights: As a Construction Services Intern, you will gain hands-on experience with impactful construction projects at State-owned buildings and properties by collaborating with various experienced professionals throughout the construction industry. This internship is ideal for those currently matriculated in an accredited Associate's, Bachelor's, or advanced degree program, pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture.
Location and Schedule: This position will begin after Spring 2025 finals week and end by August 2025. The schedule is 40 hours per week for 12 weeks. On-site work is expected for the duration of the internship at 450 Columbus Boulevard in Hartford, CT, but occasional telework may be available.

Internal Audit Division
Internship Highlights: As an Internal Audit Intern at the Department of Administrative Services, you will gain hands-on experience working with Internal Audit professionals. This internship is designed to help you develop a diverse range of skills and prepare you for a professional career in the field of auditing. This internship is ideal for those currently matriculated in a Bachelor's, or advanced degree program, pursuing a degree in Accounting.
Location and Schedule: This internship will start in January 2025 and end in December 2025. This is a part-time, 15-20 hours per week position. Hours of work will be scheduled Monday through Friday between 8:00am and 4:30 pm. On-site work is expected for the duration of the internship at 450 Columbus Boulevard in Hartford, CT, but occasional telework may be available.

Legal and Legislative Unit
Internship Highlights: DAS is seeking a Law Student Intern to support our team with legal research and review. This internship is ideal for current law students (1L, 2L, or 3L), preferably with coursework in contract law.
Location and Schedule: This is an 8-12 week internship between May and August 2025. Students can work 35-40 hours per week, up to a maximum of 350 hours for the duration of the internship. The internship is based out of Hartford at 450 Columbus Boulevard. On-site work is anticipated 3 days per week, with remote work 2 days per week.

Our Offices

Fleet Operations (https://portal.ct.gov/das/services-for-agencies-and-municipalities/fleet-vehicles?language=en_US) supplies over 3,600 vehicles to over 90 state agencies and departments across the state of Connecticut. Human Resources (https://portal.ct.gov/das/services-for-state-employees/statewide-human-resources?language=en_US) handles hiring, job classifications, compensation plans, employee benefits, learning and development, workers’ compensation, and additional areas of interest. Construction Services (https://portal.ct.gov/das/services/doing-business-with-the-state/state-building-construction) works on new construction of state buildings, and regulatory compliance, inspections, and fire safety as it relates to state properties. Facilities Management (https://portal.ct.gov/das/services/for-agencies-and-municipalities/properties-and-facilities-management?language=en_US) administers the operations, maintenance and security of some state-owned buildings. The Bureau of Information and Technology Solutions (https://portal.ct.gov/das/about-das?language=en_US) (BITS) provides IT, application, data, hosting, and network services to state agencies.
Our offices are located at 450 Columbus Boulevard in downtown Hartford. Positioned conveniently near Dunkin’ Park, Constitution Plaza, the Connecticut Convention Center, UConn Hartford, the CT Science Museum, and numerous great places to eat, our building will keep you connected with co-workers and the general public we serve. The office space is located on the top floors of the north tower at 450 Columbus Boulevard, providing the latest technology to help get our work done efficiently and outstanding views of the Connecticut River and the Hartford skyline.
