Job Summary

The Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) Administrator will execute the operational objectives defined for the Advancement CRM platform and support refinement of the evolving strategic vision. Reporting to the Director of Advancement Technology Services, the CRM Administrator is responsible for ensuring that the Advancement organizations across the University of Southern Mississippi have access to a well-performing platform solution to enable business priorities. This position manages the technical aspects of data feeds and integrations, manages user access and ensures the CRM system conforms to data security and privacy policies. The candidate will have a record of success in implementing processes and adoption of a platform solution.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  1. In coordination with our Implementation Services contractor, manage deployment of a newly selected Advancement CRM platform. Work with Advancement Business Analyst on the scoping and perform implementation of new Advancement CRM development requests.

    1. Support migration of data and selected process from existing Advancement CRM environment.
  • Customize and configure the CRM platform to meet the specific needs of the organization. This includes setting up workflows, automation, and integrations with other business systems.

  • Manage the technical operations of system data feeds and integrations, supporting the data needs identified by the Advancement Data Manager.

  • Monitor and report on system performance metrics, identify performance issues, and implement optimizations to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the CRM platform. Engage with CRM vendors for support, updates, and troubleshooting. Manage vendor relationships to ensure optimal service and performance.

    1. Implement and maintain security measures to protect sensitive customer data. Conduct regular security audits and update protocols to comply with industry standards.
  • Create, modify, and deactivate user accounts. Manage permissions and access levels to ensure data security and compliance.

  • Assist Advancement Business Analyst with the creation and maintenance of suitable processes to support Advancement Operations, Development Office, and Technology Lifecycle activities.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or related field from an accredited college or university and a minimum of three years of experience as a systems administrator or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Broad understanding of information systems and business applications

  • Experience with CRM platforms, with the ability to customize processes, formula fields, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity

  • Experience using data management and integration tools

  • Strong understanding of relational databases, query language, and development competency

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and handle simultaneous requests

  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and accountable for results

  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple university units

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and interact effectively with a diverse group of people in both oral and written forms

  • Ability to process and handle confidential information with discretion

Preferred Qualifications

Advanced degree in computer science, information systems or related field from an accredited college or university. Comprehensive understanding of platform administration, data management and enterprise management systems. Five years of CRM platform experience.
