The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Experienced Electronic Warfare Engineer (Level 3) to join the F/A-18 Electronic Warfare team located in St. Louis, MO. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.

This position will be supporting Domestic and Foreign Military Sale (FMS) Development programs as part of the Fighters Mission Systems organization. The primary responsibilities for this individual will be focused on the development and integration of electronic warfare systems on multiple variants of the F/A-18 platform. This position will plan, review, and brief these efforts to customer and Boeing leadership representatives. In addition, the individual will be responsible for overseeing technical performance of critical suppliers to ensure integration and verification of installed system performance.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive plans, procedures and events for requirements allocation, hardware/software qualification test, performance test, verification, problem reporting and data analysis.

  • Evaluate and assess the performance of electronic warfare systems, including radar warning subsystems, aircraft integration and aircraft system-level performance.

  • Collaborate across functions, programs, and organizations, including production and research and development programs.

  • Develop trade studies, modeling, simulation, and other forms of analysis to predict component interconnects and system performance, ensuring design optimization.

  • Develop and execute critical tests to validate design performance against requirements.

  • Manage critical supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance with requirements.

  • Provide ongoing support throughout the lifecycle of products

  • Support project/program management by coordinating the development of work statements, budgets, schedules and other necessary inputs

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):

  • Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

  • 3+ years of experience in development, hardware & software qualifications, and/or hardware & software delivery

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Electronic Warfare systems and signal processing

  • Experience in RF/Digital Electronics and software design

  • Experience in program protection, system security requirements and design considerations, test, and verification

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range (Level 3 Experienced): $96,050– $129,950
