Army Tank-Automotive and Armament Command (TACOM) Lead Traffic Management Specialist (Direct Hiring Authority) in Herlong Sierra Ordnance Depot, California

Summary About the Position: Sierra Army Depot is located in Herlong CA, a rural town in Northern California. Herlong is approximately 60 miles north of Reno, NV, and 35 miles south of Susanville, CA. Employees work a 4/10 work week, Mon-Thurs, 0630-1700 hrs. Youth Facilities and daily child care available. The depot serves as an Army Expeditionary Logistical Support Center, (Mass transportation is available at minimal cost.) Surrounding area boasts a full range of outdoor sports/recreation activities. Responsibilities Lead as a senior Traffic management Specialist and Team Leader. Provide transportation and traffic management foundation and applied expertise in the review and development of policies and procedures associated with transportation. Ensure that the organization’s strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team. interfaces with system administrators to monitor processes and functions for automated transportation systems. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: providing expertise in a particular functional area of traffic management for overall traffic program management, carry out projects to improve the efficiency and productivity of transportation services, and provides input to leadership on transportation setbacks. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Education For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Additional Information Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration. You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship. One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
