Job Description

Sort Test Technology Development (STTD) in ATTD is responsible for developing and deploying world-class test equipment and process technology to meet Intel's product ramp and cost targets.

This position is for a SDx (Die Sort) Module Engineer within the STTD group in Oregon.

Responsibilities included but not limited to the following:

  • A SDx Module Engineer is responsible for Die Sort equipment and process development to enable Intel's product roadmap.

  • Develop hardware and/or software capabilities for the equipment.

  • Develop new methods/BKMs for module troubleshooting, and support NPI activities and tool sustaining.

  • Work with the probing technology and product development teams to improve and optimize the Die Sort process, enhancing quality, reliability, and manufacturability of the equipment and process before transferring to the Virtual Factories.

  • Module engineers are expected to be on-site and join an on-call rotation.

Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship experiences.

Minimum required qualifications:

  • Candidate must possess a Master's degree (3+ years of experience) or PhD degree (1+ year of experience) in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or an equivalent Engineering degree.

Preferred qualifications:

Experience in the following:

  • Scripting/programming skills.

  • Demonstrated experience of working in an ambiguous environment which involved active problem solving and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.

  • Design of Experiments DOE process and/or hardware qualification methodologies, etc.
