Abbott NPI Manager - Abbott Pharmaceuticals in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

MAIN PURPOSE OF ROLE:

The position has direct impact on EPD's ability to meet short- and long-term growth objectives by developing new business and launching new products on-time in effective, efficient, and consistent process.

Being responsible for affiliate NPI process (from project approval to launch) and acts as Project manager for all approved NPI projects for EPD Legacy and Abbott Health

Being an expert on affiliate NPI process and global NPI process, and super-user of End-to-End solution (project execution part) and is a communication link with NPI functions.

Supporting EPD growth targets by on time execution of approved NPI launches.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. NPI Project Manager

  • Co-manage all approved NPI projects as project manager with the local BD/Commercial lead (LEAP).

  • Manage end-to-end NPI process for affiliates. Ensure local process is aligned with Region / Global NPI process and with class A standards.

  • Identify a thorough action plan, a timetable, and the resources needed to archive project goals

  • Lead the project team's execution of all launch-related tasks and the NPI Coordinator to manage Gantts in ATOM

  • Ensure local policies / SOPs / work instructions / training materials are in place and regularly updated to ensure routine operations and quality output

  • Constantly search for improvement opportunities and provide solutions for adhoc unexpected issue that may arise during the execution process

  • Update the key of NPI projects at the Affiliate S&OP meeting

  • Coordinate and facilitate the monthly NPI reviews at the Affiliate

  • Note: BD/Commercial lead owns the idea generation, validation, evaluation, approval of business case (LEAP) and Commercial lead owns post launch assessment. NPI Manager owns the execution of projects from approval to launch (ATOM).

2. Manage diver stakeholders (Push & pull)

  • Communicate the Project Plans and changes to project stakeholders

  • Measure and report project team’s effectiveness and efficiency, and time execution of launch activities

  • Identify performance gaps, and propose improvement/ risk mitigation actions to minimize impact on business performance

  • Coordinate and communicate with Region and Global, provide periodic project updates

3. Leading NPI performance and LCM delivery (new indication, new format …)

  • Analyse and propose initiatives and solutions to improve NPI performance & LCM delivery with Commercial, Business Development, Supply Chain, Regulatory

  • Monitor the execution of Commercial and stakeholders in launch plan, launch preparation, and launch activities aligned with committed timeline

Others:

  • Comply with Company Business Code of Conduct and all local applicable laws within scope of function responsibility.

  • Special projects as directed and assigned

MINIMUM BACKGROUND/ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Work Experience

Minimum 5 years’ experience in Commercial organization of Multinational Pharmaceutical Company

Experience Details:

  • Project Management track record.

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within complex organization and collaborate with a diverse group of stakeholders.

  • Knowledgeable about relevant pharma functions: marketing, sales, finance, demand management, business intelligence, market access, regulatory, supply chain.

  • Experience with product launch (lead or member of launch team).

Education

Bachelor or Master ’s degree

Field of Study-Qualification

  • Pharmacist/Doctor, Business Administration, Sciences, Engineering or Humanities

  • Project Management certification (not necessary but is advantage)

  • Project management skills.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical.

  • P&L understanding or knowledgeable on Financial.

  • Leadership and motivational skills and be assertive with people in more senior positions.

  • Strong analytical skills to analyze data and draw valid conclusions, to do ‘number crunching’, and make recommendations based on quantitative or qualitative data.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
