We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Non-Profit Accountant who is well-versed in accounting suites such as Sage, to help manage our organization's finances. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations and will play a key role in our organization's budget management, financial analysis, payroll, forecasting, accounts payable, accounts receivables, and financial reporting.

Accountant Responsibilities:

• Use Sage Accounting software to record, store, and analyze financial data.

• Prepare financial statements such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Assist in the preparation of budget reports, annual returns, and grant budgets.

• Liaise with external auditors and manage internal controls.

• Ensure all financial operations comply with federal and state laws.

• Improve and maintain financial policies and procedures for the organization.

• Update and maintain records of all donor data and ensure accuracy of these records.

• Manage the organization's payroll system.

• Regularly complete bank reconciliations and ensure timely payment of bills.

  Requirements

Accountant Requirements:

• Proven work experience as an Accountant with non-profit organizations.

• Strong knowledge and experience using Sage accounting software.

• Exceptional knowledge of finance regulations and accounting processes.

• Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to organize work, set priorities, and remain flexible to changing priorities.

• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Knowledge about nonprofit tax laws and regulations is a plus.
