Implements, under the direction of the Plant Manager or Value Stream Manager, the Parker Lean System and Win Strategy to ensure a safe work environment, drive quality improvements, provide premier customer service, develop a qualified workforce, reduce operating costs, inventories and lead times through continuous improvements. Oversee day-to-day activities to meet daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual expectations.

Second shift schedule is Monday to Friday from 3:30pm to 12am.

  • Drives safety culture including participation in identifying safety opportunities and setting expectation for others. Collaborates with others and supports timely closure of safety concerns

  • Monitors department performance, raising appropriate issues and implementing process improvements where required in order to meet department's quality goals. Encourage team to stop and fix problems in order to get quality right the first time

  • Provides direction in work assignments, achieving established output levels to meet daily and monthly delivery goals.

  • Ensures training, cross training, and employee development meet business requirements

  • Create culture of continuous improvement through employee HPT engagement, reflecting on problems, solutions, and challenges

  • Administers performance and salary reviews, disciplines and terminates employees, and interviews, selects, and hires qualified personnel.

  • Responsible for managing a productive and complementary relationship between first and second shift cells.

  • All other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    1. Associates Degree, Business or Technical, or equivalent

    2. 3 - 5 years’ management or supervisory experience.

    3. Sufficient background in accounting, PC skills, manufacturing, human resource management and inventory control. Demonstrated teamwork and teambuilding skills.

    4. Ability to assess and develop individual and team skills and capabilities.

    5. Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for challenges.

    6. Serve as model by promoting safety, new ideas and positive change.

    7. Good written and verbal communication skills.

    8. Experience with LEAN teams or leading LEAN teams is preferred.
