Job Title: HVAC Technician

Job Description

We're seeking a dedicated HVAC Technician to join our team. Your role will involve ensuring the smooth operation of machinery by fulfilling preventive maintenance requirements on support equipment. This includes chillers, air compressors (125 PSI), air conditioners, cooling tower, and refrigeration systems (Trane and Frigel). You will be expected to follow sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications while troubleshooting any malfunctions. Additionally, you will be responsible for locating sources of problems by observing mechanical operations and listening for issues. Other tasks include dismantling devices to remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools, and maintaining technical knowledge by reviewing technical publications. Your role will also require you to ensure continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in HOLLYWOOD, Florida.

Work Environment

Our work environment can be very noisy and not all areas of the facility are climate-controlled. PPE is provided by the company (goggles, gloves, earpieces, hairnets). The facility operates six days a week from 7am-4pm, with Saturday often being a full day. Flexibility for early starts or late finishes may be required. We operate across three shifts: 1st (7am-3pm), 2nd (3pm-11pm), and 3rd (11pm-7am). Due to the nature of the job, employees must wear comfortable, closed toe and back shoes as there will be a significant amount of walking/standing during shifts. Steel toe shoes are required.
