Abbott Assistant Medical Affairs Manager in Hong Kong, China

Job Summary

Handle overall medical affairs responsibilities for pharmaceutical in Hong Kong and Macau markets; Demonstrate the clinical outcome and benefits of company products to thought leaders, medical groups, government agencies, key opinion leaders and health systems with drug formularies, consumer-ready medical products.

Act as a back up to assure quality related matters associated with products commercially distributed conform to current, Abbott Quality standards, and other applicable regulatory standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Educate and demonstrate the benefits of key products to internal stakeholders, thought leaders, medical groups, government agencies, key opinion leaders and health care professionals.

• Provide medical information to internal/external health sources such as the sales force, outside health professions, public, and government.

• Coordinate continuing education workshops, seminars, and programs for internal stakeholders, thought leaders, medical groups, government agencies, key opinion leaders and health care professionals.

• Review and approve promotional and packaging materials from medical perspective; Handle medical inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.

• Generate medical insights through advisory boards/expert meetings, scientific engagements with HCPs and other medical activities.

• Provide support for marketing plans and product launch teams from the medical perspective and contributing to the execution of local operating plans.

• Act as a back up of quality assurance related matters when necessary

Requirements: Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Life Science, preferably an advanced Degree such as PharmD, PhD, or MD

• Preferably a minimum 3 years of experience in medical affairs related roles, e.g. MSL or Medical Advisor

• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

• Result oriented to achieve/exceed job expectations

• Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
