Emerson’s Process Systems and Solutions business develops automation software to streamline manufacturing processes. We are looking for a Finance Operations Intern (Summer 2025) who is interested in gaining real-world experience in a dynamic, collaborative environment at our Round Rock, TX location.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

• Develop models for calculating fully burdened cost rates

• Assist in developing budgets for a variety of functional areas

• Support finance department during external audit

• Aid in special projects for deferred revenue recognition and reporting

• Learn about the monthly close and reporting cycles

• Suggest process improvements and aid in development of new reports, dashboards, etc.

Who You Are:

You convert ideas into actions and produce results with new initiatives. You research initiatives and try new approaches. You evaluate feedback and make necessary adjustments. You engage in collaborative planning.

For This Role, You Will Need:

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university

• Pursuing a degree in Finance or Accounting

• Legal authorization to work in the United States. Sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

• Entering either their Senior and/or post-graduate year

• Completed courses in: GAAP/Accounting Principles

• Previous internship experience in a professional environment

• Strategic mindset and self-motivated

• Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills

• Innovative approach to solve problems

• Demonstrated leadership skills such as serving in leadership role in student organization

• Data analytics skills

• Self-motivated

• Keen attention to detail
