Robert Half Accounting Clerk in Houston, Texas

Description

Our client located near the Port of Houston is seeking an Accounting Clerk. The Accounting Clerk must have 3+ years of full cycle Accounts Receivable and Payable Experience. The Accounting Clerk will be responsible for Billing, Collections, and Cash Applications, as well as Full Cycle PO Based AP. SAGE experience would be highly preferred. This is a direct hire opportunity paying 24/HR working 100% in office.

Requirements - AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

  • Outstanding data entry skills

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience

  • General familiarity with Sage Accounting Software

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Collections

  • Experience with cash applications

  • Foundational knowledge in billing

  • Practical knowledge of Purchase Orders

  • Accounts Receivable (AR) experience required

  • Adeptness in cash applications

  • Accounts Payable (AP) experience desired

  • Familiar with Spreadsheet and ERP system

  • 3+ years of accounting experience required

  • Ability to multitask and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds
