Phillips 66 Compensation Advisor in Houston, Texas

The Compensation Advisor is accountable for supporting various U.S. broad-based compensation programs and initiatives at Phillips 66. The position provides comprehensive compensation support for a defined portfolio of businesses and functions within the organization.

Responsibilities May Include

  • Planning and administering U.S. compensation programs including base salary management, short-term and long-term incentive programs, and employee recognition efforts.

  • Participating in various compensation surveys and conducting salary survey analysis.

  • Leveraging data and analysis skills to prepare compensation models and develop recommendations.

  • Serving as Compensation SME in the Total Rewards Center of Excellence, including primary point of contact for one or more business units or functions.

  • Problem solving with HR Business Partners to resolve strategic and tactical compensation and pay practice matters.

  • Providing compensation expertise to Talent Acquisition Partners to support recruiting activities.

  • Participating and/or leading compensation-related initiatives and participating on strategic HR project teams.

  • Managing compensation activities for mergers and acquisitions.

  • Communicating to various levels of the organization and presenting prepared materials on compensation programs.

Required Qualifications

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5 or more years of professional experience in a Business or Human Resources role

  • 3 or more years of direct experience in Compensation or related Human Resources role

  • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in business, Human Resources or related discipline

  • 5 or more years of experience in a Compensation role in Oil & Gas industry

  • 2 or more years of experience in project management

  • Advanced level of proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Working knowledge of SAP/SuccessFactors

  • Prior experience with compensation software applications

  • Prior experience with building and managing Job Architecture

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support business focused analysis and decisions

  • Ability to handle confidential information appropriately

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to change

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment

  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
