Robert Half Corporate Controller in Houston, Texas

Description

Our established client on the Southeast side of town is looking for a Corporate Controller for their organization.

Do you have the background and skills required for this role?

What you get to do daily;

• Manage the preparation of the company's budget and financial forecasts.

• Oversee all financial operations, including monthly reporting, financials, ledger, consolidations, balance sheet reconciliations, month-end close, and financial statements.

• Develop and implement financial strategies for the company, including budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.

• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.

• Prepare financial reports for the board of directors and other stakeholders.

• Oversee the production of monthly reports as well as financial statements and cash flow projections.

• Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and maintain strong working relationships.

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist outside tax professionals in the preparation of income tax returns.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective decision-making.

Requirements

  • CPA is required.

  • A minimum of 8+ years of experience with a multi-location, multi-general ledger company.

  • Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial regulations.

  • Proven experience with financial processes including budgeting, forecasting, consolidation, and financial analysis.

  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.

  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.

  • Demonstrated experience in financial planning and strategy, managing profitability, strategic planning, quality management, promoting process improvement, forecasting, corporate finance, developing budgets, and financial skills.
