Job Summary
The Facilities Technician will maintain efficient and smooth operation of the facility.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
Plans repair work using buildings blueprints or equipment manual as needed.
Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, and repairing doors and other building fixtures.
Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
Cleans and assists with upkeep of the facilities.
Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
Inspection of facilities to determine problems and necessary maintenance.
Marks all issues reported as resolved once complete
Monitors inventory of materials and equipment and oversees regular maintenance vendors activities.
Overseeing 3rd party tradesmen during installations, repairs and/or maintenance.
Conduct routine Inspection and maintenance of building systems (heating, ventilation, plumbing, fire alarm etc.) to reporter to vendors.
Participation in project coordination and management (e.g. renovations)
Performing hands-on maintenance work and basic repairs as needed. Use our maintenance network to hire contractors and utilize 3rd party vendors for more technical/advanced skill-level work.

Job Specifications
Skills
Ability to understand written/verbal instructions and communicate well with others
Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office required
Education
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Technical or related college courses a plus but not required
Work Experience
Minimum 2 years' experience as maintenance/facilities technician
Strong technical knowledge of all building systems (electrical, heating, plumbing, etc.)
General knowledge of various crafts such as carpentry, plumbing, air conditioning
Physical Requirements
Must have ability to stoop, stand, climb, frequently lift a minimum of 50 lbs. of equipment (pumps, tools, ladders) and safely install rigging/lifting devices
Regularly required to crouch and reach to install/move equipment by bending forward at the waist or by bending legs and spine
Involves movement between departments, and properties to facilitate work
Ability to read and understand information presented orally and/or in writing
Regularly required to utilize vision abilities, allowing reading of printed material, drawings, and schematics
