JPMorgan Chase Infrastructure Engineer in Houston, Texas

DESCRIPTION:

Duties: Design and implement solutions for global messaging at JPMorgan using IBM MQ. Migrate high value applications from legacy data center to strategic data centers. Design and support IBM MQ (product) migration to AWS cloud. Plan resiliency for critical applications. Create high level design documents. Implement governance process across LOB's for seamless monitoring and performance. Create app monitoring dashboards on grafana and implement governance process. Review monitoring and assist applications to follow best practice.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, Middleware Engineer, Systems Engineer or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field of study plus 5 years of experience in the job offered or as Infrastructure Engineer, Middleware Engineer, Systems Engineer or related occupation.

Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: IBM MQ product and messaging flow; Shell; python scripting; networking concepts including TCP/IP; Red hat and windows operating system configuration and tuning; support Websphere MQ applications; SSL; Cloud; Java; OOPS; Ant scripting; deployment using terraform and helm charts.

Job Location: 600 Travis Street, Houston, TX 77002. Telecommuting permitted up to 60% of the week.
