We are offering a long-term employment opportunity for an IT Project Manager I in Houston, Texas. The job function revolves around the management of IT Projects and Programs, specifically in ensuring adherence to strict deadlines and budget. This role will be part of our workplace in Houston, Texas, serving the IT industry.

Responsibilities:

• You will manage multiple major and complex projects and programs with keen attention to planning, execution, testing, implementation, and closure phases.

• Regularly provide project status updates to CIO and Project/Program Steering committees.

• Establish and maintain project/program governance in alignment with PMO Practices.

• Ensure effective Quality Assurance and the overall integrity of the project/program.

• Allocate resources and skills within the project/program.

• Identify and enroll project stakeholders, defining project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

• Manage the process of gathering, reviewing, and agreement of requirements with stakeholders.

• Communicate project expectations and progress to sponsor, steering committee, team members, and other stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.

• Manage and critically analyze project costs and overall budget.

• Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools such as Microsoft Office.

• Control the flow of work, tracking project milestones and deliverables.

• Identify risks and ensure control actions are taken.

• Control issues affecting the project schedule, budget, and resources.

• Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.

• Define project success criteria in relation to agreed requirements and disseminate to involved parties throughout the project lifecycle.

• Conduct project lessons learned and create a recommendation report to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.

• Contribute to the development of methods, processes, and controls and be an advocate in their application.

Requirements

• Proficient in Communication and Management skills

• Strong knowledge of Planning Processes and Budget Processes

• Skilled in using Microsoft Office

• Experience in IT Operations and Project Management

• Familiarity with software 'About Time'

• Ability to Troubleshoot technical issues

• Strong Negotiation skills

• Proven track record in driving Progress and Implementation of IT projects

• Knowledge of best Practices in IT project management

• Experience in Metric Reporting

• Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodology

• Ability to work and communicate effectively with Stakeholders at all levels, including C-Suite

• Proven experience in Process Improvement

• Knowledge of Agile methodologies

• Experience in Quality Assurance and Quality Control

• Strong Collaboration skills and ability to work in a team environment

• Proficient in various project Management Methods
