Job Description Summary

The Material Specialist will be responsible for unloading material, verify and log, stock/pick and transport material utilizing a forklift throughout the facility to the appropriate locations as required in a timely manner without compromising safety and quality.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ability to interpret Receiving & Shipping Documents, Repair Tags, Services Bulletins, etc.

• Accumulate and process parts to ensure configuration accuracy, update Compliance calendar as required

• Receive, Log & Deliver WIP and OSS material to the Depot

• Receiving and Stocking of 2BIN Material

• Coordinate parts credit returns and reallocations

• Log Mail and stage for Requestor Pick up. Some items will require delivery to different bldgs.

• Support Asset Management modules in inducting, storage, and receipts.

• Prep Asset Management Modules for Shipment to Off-Warehouse Warehouse or direct to customer

• Support material activities and problem solving through advanced usage of Oracle

• Trouble shoot material related issues to include interaction with the Sourcing/Fulfillment/AM/Depot.

• Identify and resolve configuration issues and systems issues

• Provide solutions to expected parts shortages to meet production needs

• Collect data, run reports, track, communicate status, and update performance metrics

• Track, order, inventory, organize, and maintain all types of tools, calibrated equipment, and shop supplies

• Responsible for ordering, shipping, receipt, & coordination with Sourcing and interact with outside vendors as required

• Perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager

• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School Diploma / GED

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or storage yard

• Ability to be able to lift , push, and pull up to 40 pounds

• Ability to be certified and operate a forklift, 4500 pounds and over

• Basic computer skills

• Strong verbal, written, analytical and interpersonal skills

Desired Characteristics:

• Previous Material Handling experience

• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English language

• Advanced computer skills (Oracle, MS Excel, Shipping Tools or another warehouse management system)

• Be able to read engineering drawings, Illustrated Parts Books, and Service and Product Bulletins

• Capability to actively work on multiple tasks at the same time

• Strong verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills

• Certified in crane and rigging operations

• Minimum one year experience with barcode scanners

• Experience with lean action work-outs
