MD Anderson Cancer Center Postdoctoral Fellow in Houston, Texas
We are seeking a postdoctoral fellow to work under the direct supervision of Dr. Max Wintermark, M.D. professor and Chair in the Department of Neuroradiology at MD Anderson Cancer Center. The program's mission is to provide the experience needed in translational and clinical research that provides comprehensive diagnostic imaging to screen, diagnose, stage, and follow-up patients with brain, neck, and spine cancer using imaging techniques (e.g., MRI, CT, PET) used in Neuroradiology. This position will perform research to develop and evaluate the application of promising diagnostic and therapeutic imaging-based approaches with potential clinical translation for cancer imaging and treatment.
Assist in the design, implementation, and analysis of research experiments.
Assist in the analysis, organization, and presentation of data related to the neuroradiology research projects
Develop and organize databases
Develop, validate and implement analysis algorithms for neuroimaging data
Perform literature searches and have up-to-date knowledge of the field of imaging and one's projects.
Close interaction with faculty and others is needed; therefore, excellent interpersonal skills are a must.
Observation of clinical work models.
The ideal candidate must have a recent Medical degree, master's degree in Radiology or MBBCh, PhD (Radiology), or MSc (Biomedical Sciences, Neurosciences) degree from an accredited institution of higher learning with appropriate knowledge of imaging techniques and strong research interests.
