Description Robert Half has joined forces with a company in the Transport industry to fill a Programmer Analyst role. They need a master of software and applications programming and industry requirements to create and define systems scope and objectives. You will use research and fact-finding to make suggestions about developing or altering applications or databases. What you get to do every day

• Helps create communication content for certain system changes being implemented in production

• Builds dictionaries for applications and systems support by the analyst, and ensures they are up to date

• Provides end users and other partner groups with continuing training and assistance for a specific application, system or process

• Reviews user requests for changes or improvements to systems. Records functional requirements and analyzes cost, feasibility and utility. Makes suggestions regarding how, when and whether to make the changes

• Analyzes and records issues, collaborating with other programmers to fix code problems

• Create and evaluate programming changes for each systems development phase prior to implementation. Log test cases and expected results. Verify that results meet requirements. May plan basic tests or a defined subset of larger tests. May suggest acceptance/rejection when requirements are not met

• Evaluates methods of processing. Makes suggestions for improvements

• Serves as the in-house guide for internal clients experiencing programming problems, consulting on applications, systems and/or processes for identifying and resolving, processing/reporting the issues. Consultation can include troubleshooting and/or education Requirements - Previous experience as a project leader for the business portion of developmental applications or major systems improvements

• Foundational knowledge in NoSQL

• Proficiency in Microsoft SQL

• Solid understanding of .NET

• C# experience required

• Proven success acting in a project management capacity

• Excellent written, verbal and social communication skills

• Comprehension of PC and mainframe hardware/software
