Job Summary

A Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for managing and maintaining an organization's databases, and related applications. They ensure the integrity, security, and performance of the databases while also optimizing them for efficient data storage and retrieval. DBAs design and implement database structures, monitor and troubleshoot issues, perform regular backups and recovery, and collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure data availability and accessibility. They also handle user access and permissions, implement data security measures, and stay updated with the latest database technologies and trends. Posted position does not allow for relocation or sponsorship assistance.

Essential Responsibilities

•Be responsible for standard databases and applications administration duties: Including, but not limited to, installation, patching and change migration, monitoring, backup and recovery.

•Updates system process documentation as required.

•Stays abreast of new technologies in the field.

Minimum Qualifications

•Experience with Oracle Business EBS 12.1.3, is a must.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

•Minimum 5-7 years of experience in related.

•Strong working experience with Oracle Versions 11gR2 and 12c on Linux platforms.

•Experience with Multi-node RAC cluster, ASM, Oracle OEM, and Oracle WebLogic Middleware/SOA.

•Experience with OBIEE, Agile, P6, GRC, OIM and OEM is a strong plus.

•Extensive knowledge with Backup and Recovery using Oracle RMAN, experience with Cohesity a plus.

•Exposure to Oracle Enterprise Linux, SAN/NAS/NFS storage, as well as virtualization concepts.

•Experience administering various 24x7 uptime Oracle databases as a database administrator.

•Knows or quickly learns environment - technical and business, through initiative and direction from senior staff and/or peer.

•Works effectively with a team of databases and applications administrators to maintain uptime, consistency, scalability and performance while meeting business needs.

•Must be a self-starter, patient, willing to learn and be highly motivated.

•Use methodical approach to problem solving.

•Be comfortable dealing with users of all levels, face to face and over the telephone.

•Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.

•Works under general supervision.

•Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

•Understanding of financial impact of effective inventory management.

•Strong analytical skills.

•Be responsible and dependable.

•Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written.
