Local non-profit organization located in the Heights is seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant to join their team-based environment! This individual will be responsible for assisting the accounting department with full-cycle accounting duties!

Responsibilities will include:

• Lead month-end closing processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

• Manage complex journal entries, ensuring compliance with accounting principles.

• Conduct in-depth account reconciliations, addressing discrepancies and providing analyses.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to streamline month-end procedures.

• Analyze financial statements, identifying trends and variances.

• Lead preparation of financial statements and reports for stakeholders.

• Ensure strict adherence to accounting policies and regulatory requirements.

• Drive process improvements for enhanced efficiency.

• Act as a key contact during external audits, providing documentation.

Must have at least 1+ year of experience in full-cycle accounting and healthcare experience is preferred. This is a great opportunity to join an amazing team!

Requirements

• 1+ year of accounting experience

• Bachelors degree highly preferred, or higher experience

• Healthcare experience preferred

• Excellent written and communication skills

• Advanced Excel skills
