Position Summary

We are currently hiring for a Construction Manager. This role can be based anywhere in the United States and will require travel to customer construction sites across the US. In this role, you will oversee the on-site construction activities for wastewater treatment facilities. You will also be assisting our Project Managers in the planning, organizing and controlling projects.

Core Responsibilities and Tasks

  • Oversees construction sites, general contractors, and workers to ensure a high level of quality and safety

  • Guarantees that all work is performed in accordance with approved manuals and procedures

  • Ensures that project is constructed and documented in accordance with the contract documents and good engineering practices

  • Provides technical support to Project Managers

  • Performs change order estimating and assists the Project Manager in change order negotiations

  • Coordinates and monitors schedule updates, invoices, and submittals

  • Assists in managing and reviewing the progress of contractor's construction schedules.

  • Reviews weekly and monthly reports on the status and progress of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes

  • Reports the status of projects to business and market leaders

  • Attend client meetings as needed

  • Lead interface with local onsite Customer if/when Project Manager is not present

Position Requirements

  • BS in Civil Eng, Construction Mgmt, or other related discipline with 5 years of experience or 10 years of work experience in lieu of degree

  • 10+ years of project experience working in the construction industry required; Experience with large manufacturing facilities construction sites preferred.

  • Proficient with MS Office suite of tools

  • Knowledge of construction technology

  • EPC industry experience

  • Familiarity with project and department budget process and tools

  • Risk assessment/management

  • Leadership ability

  • Must be able to multitask.

  • Effective communication, and presentation skills

  • Ability to read, understand, and direct work based on engineering drawings, schematics and construction documents

Additional Details

  • 100% travel to job sites in the US

  • TARGET SALARY: 100,000-125,000

Salary range:

$91,500.00 - $164,500.00
