COLSA Corporation CABAIL Lab Manager in Huntsville, Alabama

General Summary

Manage the overall operations and execution of the Combat Aviation Brigade Architecture Integration Laboratory (CABAIL). Determining program requirements and providing technical support. Analyze and make recommendations to optimize programs, policies, procedures, and systems. Draft new or revised policies and procedures. Assess and advise government leadership on potential issues related to costs, schedules, and performance. Provide CABAIL Directory technical expertise with respect to planning, testing, and implementing new programs or systems. Identify and resolve issues and problems. Travel may be required up to 25%

Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions)

  • Coordinate with supporting organizations and deconflict maintenance/configuration activities of aircraft/system System Integration Laboratory (SIL) and AMSA EcoSIL.

  • Maintain daily operation status of each SIL and supporting CABAIL infrastructure equipment.

  • Plan, manage, and execute facility upgrades and standard operating procedures.

  • Assist the CABAIL Director in developing, collecting, refining, updating and reporting product metrics, significant activities, and risks.

  • Analyze emerging technologies and capabilities for suitability for integration on Army aircraft.

  • Analyze or perform operational activities of a military, governmental, or business system utilizing technical and/or professional expertise beyond the capability of the regular staff personnel.

  • Present, develop, and deliver innovative solutions and strategies to customer.

  • Collaborate across multiple internal teams to ensure successful delivery of results based on scope of work.

  • Utilize expert knowledge to influence best practices within discipline.

  • Lead work teams or other SMEs to ensure customer satisfaction relating to technical contract performance or may act independently.

Required SkillsRequired Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 15-20 years

  • Active Secret security clearance required

  • Must have unique experience, knowledge, and skill set that is required to meet contractual requirements

  • Experience with networking hardware and software for Army applications

  • Experience with aircraft avionics systems

  • Strong organization and record keeping skills

  • Ability to successfully comprehend and adhere to technical and operational standards/processes

  • Must be able to effectively interact with Government customers and contractors

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's or PhD preferred

  • Experience performing operational field testing and Maintenance of aircraft systems and subsystems

  • Experience providing SME level support to Program Executive Office (PEO) Aviation

  • Experience managing an aviation laboratory
