Pathgroup is a leading provider of pathology and clinical and services to physicians throughout the US! They continue to grow and currently have a demand for a Phlebotomy Float in Alabama! Daily responsibilities for this role: *Travel to a client assignment within designated region with short notice *Greets customers appropriately and provides a safe and positive experience for patients *Ensures alls) field phlebotomy and PSC specimens are collected accurately and timely *Collects specimens according to established procedures, Protocols, and SOP *Venipuncture (Blood draw), urine, fecal as required *Dispose biohazard fluids / tissue according to laws and standards *Completes and verifies requisitions *Data entry for each patient as ordered *Order of draw, laboratory standards and processes upheld, labeling, centrifuge, split, freeze specimens as ordered *Prep, package, label specimens for timed transport, ensuring correct tubes, materials, and labeling / storage

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVE *Valid Drivers License *High School Diploma / or GED *Phlebotomy course program completed / or Medical Assistant schooling / or Paramedic Training *2 years field experience with Phlebotomy with variety of testing experience *Ability to travel 1-4 hour distances and stay overnight as policy requires (This will depend on location). --Over 2 hours, will require rental car --Over 3 hours will require overnight stay * Strong communication and attention to detail *Customer and patient centric / focused *Positive attitude and collaborative team player NICE TO HAVE *Phlebotomy Certification *Would be willing to look at someone with a year experience, but must be in clinical and dedicated phlebotomy role
