We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Manager for a client in Huntsville, AL who is in the Aerospace/Defense industry. To be considered for this position candidates MUST be AS9100 certified. As a Quality Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality across our product lines. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control procedures, conducting thorough inspections, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities
Implement, Establish, and Maintain certification of company's ISO 13485/FDA-QSR and SAE AS9100 quality management system
Perform First Article Inspections and promote continuous improvement of processes
Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, whole numbers, fractions, and decimals in US and Metric System
Must have experience using standard measuring and testing devices such as but not limited to: calipers, micrometer, height gauge, pin gauge, radius gauge, optical comparator, depth micrometer, etc.
Facilitate top management review meetings
Company's corporate quality contact for customers, vendors, and subcontractors
Develop training program for all employees to ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and train personnel as needed
Coordinate and assist with all internal audits
Coordinate and perform all audits of suppliers/vendors/subcontractors
Ensure all waste is disposed of in accordance with local, state, and federal
The essential functions of this role include:
working in a smoke free environment
standing for 5 hours at one time
working up to 8 hrs of overtime per week
