KBR Reliability Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama


Reliability Engineer

The applicant will perform independent analysis work in all facets of Product Assurance including reliability, field reliability data collection, quality, and corrosion prevention. The applicant will serve as subject matter expert in these areas and advise Government program offices.

Duties and responsibilities

The applicant will take direction from Program Office personnel to provide subject matter expertise and / or perform the following tasks

  • Ground Support Equipment Reliability, Availability, and Maintainability

  • RAM requirements development

  • Prognostic requirement development

  • Reliability and Maintainability test development

  • Failure Definition / Scoring Criteria development

  • Incident scoring for reliability

  • Maintainability Demonstration analysis

  • Field data collection design and experience with the US Army Maintenance Analysis Reporting System (MARS)

  • Document development supporting milestone decisions

  • First Article Inspections

  • Corrosion prevention and control

Basic qualifications and skills requirements

The applicant will possess an engineering degree and have over thirty years’ experience with PATRIOT System Product Assurance. Specific qualification must include demonstrated experience necessary to perform the above duties and responsibilities.

The applicant should possess a Secret clearance or be able to obtain/maintain a Secret clearance

Other desirable experience includes the following

  • Missile Defense Agency Joint Reliability and Maintainability Evaluation Team support

  • Reliability question resolution support for the MDA Ballistic Missile Defense System requirements

  • Foreign Military Sales reliability support

  • Collective training system reliability scoring and assessment

  • Drawing review

  • Engineering Change Proposal review

  • Six Sigma Black Belt
