The Device Lifecycle Management team is looking for a highly motivated and energetic individual to join our Global IT Connected Care team. We drive mobile device management solutions for mobile device deployment for internal stakeholders and external users. As an MDM Technologist, you will share the responsibility for the device management solutioning for the IT Connected Care Device Lifecycle Management team. You will be responsible for working with project managers, program managers and team leaders to provide technical direction and will be expected to work in collaboration with the device lifecycle management team through the design and production deployment process.

The MDM Technologist is responsible for overall MDM solutioning for the assigned products. This includes planning and coordinating analysis, planning, scheduling, and participation in requirements reviews. This role will participate in the testing strategy in the UAT environment and the production deployment process. This entails working collaboratively with team members to ensure the appropriate procedures are followed.

Other responsibilities include creating and managing work instructions, knowledge base articles and any other documents needed to support ensuring accuracy of their team’s assigned work. Incident ticket and task tickets ownership.

Our mobile development services are expanding to include Connected Care activities across the business to improve patient lives and experiences with Medtronic therapies. This role will focus on implementing Connected Care solutions that serve our patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals.

A Day in the Life:

MDM administrator

Technical team member responsible for implementing and maintaining business partners program’s requirements with mobile device managements solutions managed by IT Connected Care.

  • Responsible for configuration management for assigned projects and programs.

  • Coordinating with team leads on proof of concepts and feasibility indicators.

  • Evaluates interface between hardware and software project\program requirements, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall Mobile Device Management (MDM) systems.

  • Ensures hardware and software systems functionality, performance and compatibility, and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of configurations, such as existing and projected device capacity and capabilities.

  • Actively identifies system functionality or performance deficiencies, Coordinate team communications for plan of action and tests scheduled functionality of the system to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, data integrity, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.

  • Document testing and maintenance of system updates, modifications, and configurations.

  • Responsible for testing product releases in Dev, UAT and Production environments of MDM ITCC owned solutions.

  • May act as a liaison with key technology vendor technologists or other business functions.

  • Implementtechnology solutions that meets the needs and goals of the company and its customers/users.

  • Gather and prioritize integration requirements.

  • Test the quality of a product and its ability to perform a task or solve a problem.

  • Perform basic maintenance and performance optimization procedures in each of the primary operating systems.

  • Responsible for coordination and completion of incident tickets and tasks delivered in Service Now.

  • May be responsible for vendor management with business partners and IT.

  • Execute Geo-Expansions. MDM training for support groups and external business partners.

  • Other Duties as requested.

  • IOT Administration:

  • Management of all cellular carrier transactions for our business partners needing cellular data services on Medtronic managed devices.

  • Manage IOT vendor relationship. Point of contact between business partners and vendors.

  • Manage direct access to management consoles for direct processing of transactions.

  • Transactions include:

  2. Suspension of cellular service

  3. Assisting in setting up accounts

  4. Reporting

  5. Documenting the bill payment process

Must Have: Minimum Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Extensive knowledge of Mobile Device Management methodologies and processes

  • 4-7 years’ experience

  • Solid understanding of quality regulations for the Life Science industry.

  • Experience with Medtronic’s MSCM and system validation and qualification processes.

  • Demonstrated strong analytical thinking, process mapping, process improvement and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills (verbal, written, influencing groups).

  • Time management, organizational, influencing, negotiating skills.

  • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management.

  • Skilled at developing, documenting, and building support documentation.

  • High energy and motivation with an ability to adapt to change.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work in a rapidly changing environment.

  • Strong collaboration skills.
