About the role

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Engineering Supplier Mgmt. i.e., Handling Service Vendors in Contingent Work force and SoW’s Engagement (Contract2Hire, Contract Resource Argumentation, Leased Labor)

• Develop and implement supplier management strategies to identify cost-out opportunities and on-time delivery of projects

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement supplier improvement plans, including cost reduction improvements, and supplier consolidation.

• Establish and maintain supplier relationships by leading supplier performance reviews, conducting regular meetings, and manage supplier QBR.

• Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions, cost savings, and mitigated risks.

• Experience in reviewing of existing MSA’s and Service agreements i.e., Rate cards and contract terms.

• Should have strong negotiations skills & vendor relationship management

• Should have good communication skills working with global stake holders across Carrier BUs to drive outsourcing strategies. i.e., ability to identify Core/Non-Core Areas and define insource/Outsource, ascertain Offshore Vs Onsite.

• Need to have proactive approach to manage various projects and able to multi task.

• Excellent verbal & written communication skills.

Understanding of Engineering/R&D environment across different skill areas including Software, Embedded, Electrical & Mechanical etc.

Seasoned Project Engineering professional working independently. Supports the development of project plans, schedules and budgets, tracks progress, resolves problems, develops solutions, and forecasts project revenue. Coordinates with other functional organizations. Identifies and addresses project problems, analyzes data gathered, and develops solutions and recommendations to solve problems, meet deadlines and optimize performance.

Job Description

  • Supports the development of project plans, schedules and budgets.

  • Tracks progress, identifies and resolves obstacles to minimize disruption to project schedules to ensure smooth project operations.

  • Forecasts project revenues, monitors costs and re-estimates project costs on a monthly basis to maximize project profitability and ensure business targets are met.

  • Analyzes data gathered and develops solutions or alternative methods of proceeding to optimize performance and increase efficiency of work.

  • Maintains and presents plans and progress reports relating to business aspects of the project(s) to track progress and ensure that established targets are met.

  • Identifies and addresses project problems and recommends resolutions to ensure the successful completion of projects.

  • Facilitates project tasks with the various functional organizations to ensure alignment with overall project objectives.

Minimum Requirements

Requires advanced knowledge obtained through a University degree, combined with experience

Practical to substantial knowledge of Carrier organization, programs or systems with the ability to make enhancements and leverage in daily work

University Degree or equivalent

A minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience

OR

An advanced degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years experience
