We are looking for a motivated, technically oriented Service Support Engineer to support and manage the core client experiences across Microsoft’s Enterprise footprint. Our objective is to fully transform the Enterprise client experience, making it as simple, intuitive, and reliable as possible while enabling the next level of productivity for both internal and external customers.

Job Purpose   

To be successful in this role, you must have technical breadth and depth in one or more of these services: M365 (e.g., Teams, Exchange, SharePoint, Intune); Power Platform and Power BI; Microsoft Teams Room Systems; and Dynamics 365. You must also have sufficient understanding of Device and Infrastructure Management (e.g.., configuration, patching, upgrades, etc.). The role will focus around engineering, administering solutions that ensure service stability/optimization and supportable/scalable management of the communication and collaboration tools that are a part of M365. Bring your technical skills in enterprise cloud collaboration, your passion for building and maintaining reliable systems, and a desire to influence how enterprise-class services are designed and delivered to the world. Other focus areas may also include service availability, problem and incident management, as well as creating automation to support service operations.

  • Work with fellow administrators and stakeholders to manger the M365 tenant of a global enterprise

  • Provide technical subject-matter expertise on one or more areas of the Microsoft 365 service suite

  • Use data and telemetry to make decisions and drive feedback into system design and implementation

  • Partner with other teams to improve products and processes to drive delightful

  • Leverage advanced technical expertise, judgment and decision making to coordinate multiple work streams and resources to resolve complex issues

  • Gain a working understanding of Microsoft businesses and collaborate with mentors and leaders to contribute to cohesive, end-to-end experiences for our users

  • Drive program and process of mitigation (e.g., automation), troubleshoots system issues, and partners closely with internal customers and engineering teams

  • Communicate and drive adherence to security policies and procedures

Qualifications

Qualifications:   

  

Required Qualifications:   

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field AND 5+ years technical experience in service engineering, software engineering, network engineering, or systems engineering.  Or equivalent experience.

  • Experience in enterprise IT service escalation/support management

  • Ability to engineer and manage large, complex solutions

  • Hands on experience with a variety of tools to drive automation and service health improvements including PowerShell

  • 2+ years of hands on experience as an enterprise Microsoft Teams Room Systems, M365, Dynamics 365, Intune, or Power Platform service administrator

  •  Strong collaboration and communication skills that bridge strategic vision to technical realization

  • You’ve managed services – you have 5+ years of experience managing and improving an enterprise service, including support for Production systems  

  • You demonstrate strong technical skills for troubleshooting client/server software issues across multiple platforms, such as Windows, Linux, Mac, iOS, Android and Self-Problem-Solving capability  

  • You’re learning – no matter how much you know, you are always seeking to learn more and to become a better engineer  

  • You’re applying your knowledge – you are comfortable using PowerShell scripts, VS Code, Azure, Power BI and have used these tools to drive automation and service health improvements  

  • You’reinfluencing others and be held accountable for delivery without implicit authority. 

Preferred Qualifications:   

  • You collaborate – you can explain your work, you can ask great questions, you can listen to your peers and your customers, and you love to give and receive feedback  

  • You’ve led – you have a proven track record of successful Agile project implementations  

  • You’re applying your knowledge – you are comfortable using PowerShell scripts, VS Code, Azure, Power BI and have used these tools to drive automation and service health improvements  

  • You can write scripts & comfortable with C#, Json, Python language with PowerShell/VS Code  

Non-Technical skills   

  • Problem solving - Ability to clearly understand problems, decompose them into smaller problems; and technical articulation skills so that it is easy for the team to collectively solve.   

  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills  

  • High capacity to learn and adapt to new technologies and engineering processes quickly.
