About the Role:

As a Workday Technical Product Specialist – Compensation at Carrier, you will play a role in optimizing the Core Compensation and Advanced Compensation functionalities within the Workday platform. Leveraging your expertise in Workday Compensation, you will enhance the employee work experience by proactively delivering personalized and intuitive HR solutions for pivotal moments. This role involves analyzing, designing, transforming, and implementing activities globally, with a keen focus on delivering best-in-class HR technology solutions that align with business needs and objectives.

Job Description:

Seeking a Workday Technical Product Manager – Compensation to analyze, design, transform and implement activities globally. Additional responsibilities include supporting the delivered Workday Compensation solutions. The work involves close partnership with the HR Technology team members globally as well as stakeholders in the HR business COEs, Digital/IT, External Vendor organizations. Key objectives include delivery of best-in-class HR technology solutions that support business needs and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Core Compensation Management:

  • Plan, design, configure, and test solutions in Workday for Core Compensation management, ensuring alignment with organizational compensation strategies and policies.

  • Serve as a subject matter expert for business stakeholders, addressing questions and troubleshooting issues related to Core Compensation elements such as compensation packages, compensation plans, compensation basis, compensation elements, grades, grade profiles, salary ranges, benchmark information, compensation eligibility rules, and external payroll earnings.

  • Provide production support for Workday Core Compensation, including analysis and troubleshooting of design, configurations, business processes, integrations, and data.

Advanced Compensation Solutions:

  • Collaborate with HR Technology leadership and business end-users to implement and optimize Advanced Compensation functionalities within Workday, such as Compensation Review, Merit, Bonus, Stocks, and Statements.

  • Conduct comprehensive analysis to identify opportunities for enhancing compensation programs and processes through the utilization of Advanced Compensation features.

  • Coordinate testing to ensure that Advanced Compensation solutions align with business requirements and are seamlessly integrated into existing HR systems and processes.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Participate in Workday’s periodic product release planning and testing, staying informed about new feature-sets and understanding their impact on Core and Advanced Compensation functionalities.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR Business COEs, Digital/IT, and External Vendor organizations, to ensure that Compensation solutions effectively support broader HR and business objectives.

  • Work closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into requirements, conduct gap analysis, and recommend appropriate solutions and business process workflows.

Documentation and Communication:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive product documentation, including updates for user guides, job aids, and training materials.

  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, providing insights and recommendations regarding Compensation management strategies, processes, and technology solutions.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in HR technology, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience specifically in configuring and managing Core Compensation and Advanced Compensation modules within the Workday platform (experience on manage by basis total is a big plus).

  • Strong knowledge of HR processes and practices, particularly in the areas of compensation management and total rewards.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Proven ability to work independently across different time zones in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile product delivery frameworks, as well as tools such as JIRA, to facilitate efficient project management and collaboration.

  • Prepares presentations and documentation for leadership on the structure of HR Technology programs and processes.

  • Develops and delivers training on HR Technology to increase adoption.

  • Addresses complex questions from employees and other HR professionals.

Minimum Requirements

  • Requires practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within one work area.

  • Has broad knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.

  • University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years prior relevant experience

  • Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 3 years' experience.
