Onsite - Position does not require an employee to be on-site full-time but the general expectation is that the employee be onsite an average of three (3) days each week (Bupyeong)

The Role-

GM Korea Engineering - Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) OS organization is looking for dynamic, experienced Software Development manager to lead our team of system integration engineers who integrate/validate multiple modules in the vehicle and DevOps. Engineers who develop/operate local services and instance under Azure infrastructure. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in team building, technology, vehicle modules, system integration, cloud infrastructure, Azure services and instances development and operations, and agile software development methodologies. Leading highly technical teams with diversity area such as on-board and off-board would be of paramount importance in the role.

What You’ll Do-

Engineering Group Manager – System Integration & DevOps.

• Managing vehicle system integration team in the development, verification, and analyzation of SDV modules

• Managing DevOps. Engineering team in the migration, operation, and monitor of cloud-based infrastructure (Azure)

• Managing the culture within their team, holding themselves and others accountable for demonstrating GMs values and cultural behaviors. Models GM behaviors and creates a winning culture.

• Recruiting/mentoring/coaching/managing individual team members

• Having ability to handle issue resolution and remove roadblocks by navigating complex corporate environments and processes

• Having experience creating strategic direction for groups of system integration and DevOps., including Performance tuning, usability assessment/improvement, automation technologies

• Being detail oriented, a strong communicator (verbal and written) with great interpersonal skills, and ability to motivate the team to deliver multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines

• Establishing strong, positive relationships with internal business stakeholders, and demonstrating ability to map business processes to technology solutions.

Additional Job Description

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications) ​​-

• 10+ years software development, integration, validation, or operation experience

• 2+ years hands-on system development as a development lead, architect, or lead developer role working with multi-disciplinary teams

• Experience with SAFe/Agile methodology and tools for Agile work management

• Self-starter and quick learner who understands and can adapt to existing software services and computing infrastructures.

• Fluent both Korean and English

• Legally eligible working in Korea

What Will Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)-

• 2+ years software project delivery experience in leading teams developing vehicle software products

• 2+ years cloud based server service or applications development, verification, or operation experience

• Experience leading projects involving cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and their associated services and tools, also including management of containerized applications through Kubernetes

• Strong background in software/application development lifecycle, including budget, planning, requirements management, and test procedures, including heavy focus on automation through the development, testing, and deployment cycles.
