Pine Environmental Services Branch Manager I in Indianapolis, Indiana

Purpose

The Branch Manager’s primary responsibility is to direct day-to-day activities of a Pine facility in order to deliver outstanding customer service, exceptional equipment quality and achieve/exceed rental and sales revenue targets. Demonstrate strong leadership skills while managing branch operational processes and procedures, equipment rentals and create a safe work environment through solid decision making

Primary Responsibilities

Leadership

· Hire, train and develop staff to ensure all functions are performed competently and efficiently

· Set clear expectations for performance and evaluate results

· Manage and coach team members for success and empower to make good business decisions

· Engage in staff activities and hold staff accountable for delivering results

· Create a professional workplace and model acceptable behavior

· Demonstrate Pine Core Values in all actions and decisions (Loyalty, Respect, Accountability, Expectations and Performance)

· Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed and create a safety culture within the site based on education, organization/housekeeping, PPE requirements

Operational Excellence

· Maintain an efficient, clean and organized branch

· Ensure all equipment meets Pine quality standards

· Confirm that customers are receiving clean, calibrated and working equipment

· Follow operations workflow procedures from order through delivery and returns through invoicing

· Maximize equipment utilization

· Confirm compliance with all company state and federal policies and procedures

· Support other locations with equipment or other services

· Be the primary after hours contact for the location

Customer Focus

· Ensure excellent customer experience through each key touch point

· Deliver exemplary service and quality products

· Monitor and lead proactive customer satisfaction efforts

· Partner with other departments as internal customers to achieve goals

· Resolve any discrepancies that impact customer satisfaction

Sales & Revenue Growth

· Ensure rental and sales revenue goals are achieved

· Follow up on new and expanded business opportunities

· Focus on customer retention methods

The Branch Manager may supervise the following positions:

· Customer Service Representative

· Inside Sales Representative

· Technician

· Driver

· Shipping / Receiving Clerk

· Warehouse Supervisor

· Perform Other duties, as assigned or required

Knowledge, Skills, Core Competencies

• Knowledge and experience in the equipment rental industry highly preferred

• Two years environmental and/or NDT/NDE industry experience preferred

• Clean driving record

• Analytical thinker with solution orientation

• Emotional Intelligence

• Profit and loss experience a strong plus

• Proactive approach with high sense of urgency to succeed

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Effective leadership, motivational, and organizational skills

Ability to multi-task, plan and organize time

• Computer skills (Outlook, MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Education/Experience

Bachelor's Degree preferred; Associates degree plus eight to ten years’ experience in operations or 10+ years in an operations role accepted in lieu of degree.

Environment

This is a safety sensitive position. Fast paced office and warehouse environment with some field travel by car or air for meetings, trainings and customer visits.

Essential Functions

This position is 30% sedentary and 70% active and may include activities such as walking, standing, bending, stretching, climbing (ladder). Must be able to lift to 50 lbs. assisted or unassisted and requires ability to drive a Pine vehicle.
