Make a Difference

The Director Talent Development designs and drives key strategies relative to leadership and staff development programs. This position will focus on building leader bench strength, addressing prioritized skill gaps, and delivering systematic solutions for career development. This role will create a sense of energy, excitement, and personal commitment to the organization by encouraging team members, rewarding and celebrating superior performance and creating an inclusive culture. They will ensure processes, programs, and team members are meeting all quality indicators and monitor and analyze data to understand effectiveness and uncover areas to improve. The Director Talent Development will have oversight of the Network Succession Planning process and reporting of key performance indicators.

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications

Applicants for this position should be able to collaborate with others in a team setting, have excellent communication skills, and a positive attitude toward problem-solving. They should also have:

  • Bachelor’s degree (required)

  • Seven (7) or more years of experience leading a Talent Development function with specific focus on staff, leader, and career development solutions

  • Ability to demonstrate clear commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion

  • Ability to develop a clear, realistic, and actionable vision, and provide a results oriented strategy

  • Ability to communicate effectively through public speaking, power point, dashboards, visualizations, and/or other presentations formats

  • Ability to collect and analyze data involving many variables to make decisions in a timely manner

  • Ability to use customer service skills to provide an exceptional experience

  • Ability to collaborate and build effective relationships

  • Ability to think creatively

  • Ability to build, motivate, and lead high performing team while fostering a positive work environment

  • Ability to use knowledge of or gain knowledge of best practices, processes, laws, regulations, tools, and software within the subject matter area of this position
