Our client is a global healthcare company providing diagnostic and drug development capabilities to make a difference through clinical, non-clinical, and commercial settings! We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist to join their growing team!

Pay: $26-28/hr

Shift: 8:00-5:00 (flexible schedule either 4x10s or 5x8s, Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday)

Location: Indianapolis, IN

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform a wide range of laboratory tests on patient samples including blood, urine, and other body fluids, using manual and automated techniques.

  • Analyze test results for accuracy, completeness, and validity. Identify any abnormal or inconsistent results and troubleshoot as necessary.

  • Ensure compliance with laboratory quality control procedures and regulatory standards. Participate in quality assurance programs and proficiency testing to maintain high standards of accuracy and precision.

  • Operate, calibrate, and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments. Troubleshoot instrument malfunctions and perform routine maintenance tasks.

  • Record and maintain accurate documentation of test results, including entering data into laboratory information systems (LIS). Maintain confidentiality of patient information and laboratory records.

  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, laboratory staff, and other stakeholders regarding test results, procedures, and any issues or concerns that arise during testing.

  • Stay current with advances in laboratory technology and methodologies. Participate in research projects and contribute to the development of new laboratory tests and procedures.

  • Adhere to laboratory safety protocols and procedures to minimize risks of exposure to infectious agents, hazardous chemicals, and other safety hazards.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or meet local regulatory CLIA State requirements.

  • Minimum 2-4 years of clinical laboratory testing experience is required.

  • ASCP or AMT certification is preferred.

  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

  • Must be able to pass a standardized color vision screen.
