Position Brand Description:

The IAPI Maintenance Sr. Manager is responsible for leading and developing the Maintenance Coordination Group in support of daily IAPI manufacturing operations to include changeover and shutdown maintenance activities. The scope of responsibility also includes technical leadership, mentorship, and expertise in the areas of maintenance coordination, maintenance strategy, computerized maintenance management system (CMMS), predictive and preventive maintenance programs, and key transformation initiatives related to effective maintenance planning & scheduling processes/standards and maintenance best practice implementation.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

  • Provide strategic direction for the IAPI Maintenance Coordination Team.

  • Satisfy all administrative and supervisory requirements, including coaching, performance reviews, development, resourcing, and succession planning for assigned direct reports.

  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert on maintenance practices, CMMS system, and Maintenance SOPs.

  • Report, review and track key maintenance metrics and ensure compliance to established Lilly standards.

  • Document, measure, and improve effectiveness and efficiency of key maintenance business processes.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Maintenance Supervision, Reliability, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to establish alignment and awareness of the maintenance plan and work schedule.

  • Partner with Area Changeover/Shutdown Coordinators to ensure maintenance inputs are provided in a timely and accurate manner to facilitate the master outage schedule.

  • Oversight of, and accountable for, the overall deliverables of the Maintenance Coordination Group.

  • Lead/participate in root cause analysis and countermeasure development for maintenance related deviations.

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent technical work experience.

  • 3 to 5 years of Maintenance/Reliability/Engineering experience.

Additional Preferences:

  • Previous direct/indirect Leadership experience - small teams, projects, plant outages, Continuous Improvement initiatives, etc.

  • A passion along with the ability to lead, develop, serve, and empower others to successfully meet organizational and individual performance objectives.

  • An ability to create a sustainable team culture focused on the requirements of each customer through engaging, responsive customer interactions and ensuring a team Safety First, Quality Always mindset.

  • Previous technical support experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • The willingness to support the IAPI leadership team in establishing, as well as successfully executing the site mission, priorities, and objectives.

  • Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel)

  • Proficiency with Trackwise, Quality Docs, Power BI, and GMARS/Maximo

  • Recognized Maintenance/Reliability Industry Certifications – CMRP, CRL, CRE

  • Knowledge of Maintenance & Reliability Best Practices and Performance Metrics

  • Knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance techniques

  • Knowledge of Maintenance Planning/Scheduling & Coordination processes

  • Ability to analyze a business process to identify gaps, solve problems and propose opportunities for continuous improvement.

Other Information:

  • This position serves an 8-hour Monday through Friday work schedule while requiring some off-schedule work, both on-site and off-site with less than 5% travel on an annual basis.

  • 24-hour availability via mobile communication device is required.

  • Tasks require entering manufacturing and laboratory areas which require wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
