The Position

In the global Therapeutic Area Cardio-Renal-Metabolic we are looking for experienced, team-oriented and dynamic Global (Senior) Pricing and Access Managers. Our TA mission is to protect the lives of people from the consequences of CRM (Cardio-Renal-Metabolic) diseases.

In this strategic function, you will develop state-of-the-art market access and payer strategies and work closely together with committed colleagues cross-functionally and from key markets to shape value propositions for BI’s innovative therapies.

Our TA has a very rich and growing pipeline in the indication areas of Cardio, Renal, Metabolic and Liver diseases and beyond. We have job opportunities with assets in both more early-stages (pre-PoCP and pre-RoFD) as well as with major late-stage assets (post-RoFD, pre-launch). In this function, you will report to the corresponding Team Leader Market Access.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • You evaluate market access stakeholder needs, processes, and opportunities in major markets (e.g., market research, data analysis, competitor intelligence, customer meetings) and leverage appropriate insights to inform global market access strategies.

  • In close collaboration with cross functional value marketing and evidence teams, you ensure that market access stakeholder needs are appropriately reflected in the indication and asset strategies, and the development programs.

  • Additionally, you develop innovative approaches for stakeholder engagement, value communication and win/win partnerships with payers and organized customers groups (OCG).

  • You monitor the competitive environment in terms of market access strategies, pricing and contracting approaches, as well as innovative approaches including outcomes-based agreements and value adding programs.

  • Finally, yet importantly, support the implementation in key markets, in line with the overall Corporate TA strategy, regional market access and (Regional) Operating Units (ROPUs).

Requirements

  • Master's degree/PhD in Business Administration, Economics, Health Economics, Medicine, Pharmacy, Finance, Natural Sciences or related discipline

  • Long-term pharma industry experience, with positions in the areas of, pricing & reimbursement, consulting or payer authorities

  • Several years working experience in a pharmaceutical company in a global role, as well as few years international exposure

  • Strong track record in being responsible for value generation, demonstration and/or communication

  • Ability to communicate payer-relevant evidence that meets the requirements of payers in the key markets (USA, Japan, Germany/EU, China), and has in-depth understanding of those healthcare systems

  • Strong methodological skills for the pricing strategy and price optimization

  • Successfully piloted/implemented innovative approaches for communication to payers

  • Strong organizational and project management skills, as well as excellent analytical and strategic skills

  • Demonstrated leadership in the understanding of customer requirements and the development of customized payer-targeted value communication materials/tools (such as customized economic models)

  • Strong presentation and communication skills as well as the ability to work in international and cross-functional teams

  • Business fluent in English is a must; German or other additional language would be a plus
