The Associate Product Manager will support the development and execution of the U.S. annual Marketing Plans and quarterly action plans across the entire Neurovascular portfolio. This role will work closely with the Downstream Product Management team to support critical product launches and key Marketing programs, including helping to develop, produce, and gain promotional approval for various Marketing materials in support of key efforts. The Associate Product Manager is expected to stay current on market and competitive developments / dynamics. Support customer visits and attend trade shows / conferences in support of the Neurovascular business.

This role is based in Irvine, CA and is not open to remote.

A Day in the Life

Core Marketing

  • Support development and execution of the Neurovascular U.S. annual marketing plans and quarterly action plans across the entire Neurovascular portfolio

  • Partner with Downstream Product Managers to support critical product launches and key Marketing programs

  • Manage resourcing, timelines and budgets associated with projects in areas of responsibility

  • Develop key technical and marketing materials to support global sales force and maintain frequent communication with the field, providing high-value insights

  • Help to shepherd key materials through promotional review process in timely fashion to support goals and objectives

  • Stay current on key clinical literature and competitive activities and communicate important findings to the sales force and management

  • Keep current on new and competitive technology offerings in the marketplace

  • Obtain product knowledge, and be seen as the Subject Matter Expert by our customers (internal / external) and our Medtronic functional partners for key products in our global portfolio

  • Work with cross-functional members as required to ensure products meet global standards

Product Management

  • Act as an interface with demand planning and supply chain to support supply/demand forecasting needs and ensure forecast accuracy

  • Monitor competitive moves as they relate to the Neurovascular products and develop a cohesive response that can be used to deter competitive threats

Other Marketing Responsibilities

  • Support key customer visits, either onsite or in customers clinical setting, tailoring the message to meet visit objectives

  • Attend key conventions and conferences as appropriate.

  • Cultivate and foster key relationships with customers as well as emerging leaders in the Neurovascular field.

  • Regularly obtain and seek feedback from customers and field organization to gather information, identify needs, and assess opportunities to help drive marketing programs and input to product planning

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

To be considered, these minimum requirements must be evident on your resume:

  • Bachelors degree required

  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in marketing, sales or customer-facing role, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience

Nice to Have

  • MBA

  • Experience in medical device marketing

  • Project management experience

  • Microsoft Office Suite experience including PowerPoint and Excel Product Launch experience

  • Strong technical aptitude, specifically in Neurovascular and/or the clinical environment would be ideal

  • Sales orientation or exposure to working with a high performing salesforce is very helpful

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement marketing plans across geographies and product lines and customer types is also desired
