Element Materials Technology Product Compliance Test Engineer in Irvine, California
Overview
Element has an opportunity for a Product Compliance Test Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team in Irvine, CA. As a member of the operations team, theProduct Compliance Test Engineerposition performs a variety of routine and non-routine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under minimal direct supervision. The engineer positions must be proficient in a number of core business and technical skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules, code of conduct, and company policies and procedures.
Salary $95-120K/year
Responsibilities
Provides leadership for testing projects/developments which are designed to generate certifications, self declarations and NRTL listings
Provides technical leadership as a key specialist on an Element wide basis
Skilled at communicating intricate and complex technical concepts to non-technical people
Active in sharing knowledge across a range of specialist and non-specialist communities within the laboratory and across the Element enterprise
Actively seeks ways to disseminate critical testing knowledge, acumen and protocols throughout Element
Skills / Qualifications
Working knowledge of laboratory safety
Possesses a depth of understanding and experiences which integrates most, if not all, of the main areas of Product Compliance
Has demonstrated the ability to lead technology development within the context of Element’s business
Is thoroughly knowledgeable of internal capabilities and understands external resources available
Will have a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience post degree or higher academic qualifications a plus
In-depth understanding of the following testing concepts:
specific to the following standards: 60601-1, 62368-1 and 61010-1 (including -2 particular standards)
Possess strong computer skills
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus
