Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an IT Security Specialist in the Apparel Manufacturing industry, based in Irving, Texas. As an IT Security Specialist, you will be integral to maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of our organization's data and IT systems.
Responsibilities:
• Safeguard information system assets by identifying and solving potential and actual security problems
• Protect system by defining access privileges, control structures, and resources
• Recognize problems by identifying abnormalities and reporting violations
• Implement security improvements by assessing current situations, evaluating trends, and anticipating requirements
• Determine security violations and inefficiencies by conducting periodic audits
• Upgrade system by implementing and maintaining security controls
• Keep users informed by preparing performance reports and communicating system status
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed
• Maintain quality service by following organization standards
• Maintain technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing publications Requirements • Proficient in Checkpoint and Cisco ASA
• Extensive knowledge of Cisco Technologies
• Familiarity with Cloud Technologies
• Experience with Firewall Technologies
• Ability to perform AB Testing
• Proficiency in Auditing
• Understanding of AWS Technologies
• Skills in Configuration Management
• Strong knowledge of Cyber Security
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field
• Proven experience as an IT Security Specialist or related role
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of current security risks and protocols
• Ability to respond to IT security incidents and provide solutions
• Relevant certifications in IT and Cyber Security would be advantageous
• Familiarity with security frameworks
• Understanding of risk management processes
• Knowledge of threat modelling or other risk identification techniques
• Understanding of secure coding principles
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies and methods
• Proficiency in English language, both written and spoken
