Baylor Scott & White Health Patient Care Technician Nights in Irving, Texas

We are looking for PCTs to work in one of our Baylor Scott & White Hospitals.

Our Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), under supervision of the Registered Nurse, provide direct patient care by assisting the RN to meet patient and family needs. Our PCTs follow our plan of care which includes the age and/or developmental stage of the patient and Maintains clean and orderly work the patient care environment and is complaint with all infection control practices. The PCT will assist in patient care, including examinations and procedures. Obtains and records patient vital signs, heights, and weights, intake and output, destrostix fingersticks and reports results and observations. Routinely performs EKG, and other unit specific duties. Duties may vary by assigned area or shift. Ideal PCT candidates will have at least 6 months of direct patient care experience and/or CNA certification.

Shift/Schedule Full-time nights Mon-Fri, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with rotating weekends, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

High School Diploma/GED required

BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Minimum of 6 months of hospital experience is preferred
